Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, Tumblr. These are just some examples of common social networks all around the world. Social networks are great, they're fun for communicating with friends and family from the other side of the world or meeting great, new people. But sometimes, people go a little bit too, hmm how should I put this, overboard. By that, I mean they want to be on the Internet or on their favourite social networking all the time. All. The. Time.

Unfortunately, Internet addiction is something I know all too well. So, instead of using a hypothetical character this time, we're gonna use me as an example! Okay, here's my daily routine: Internet, Internet, go toilet, Internet, Internet, eat, play video games, Internet, Internet, eat, Internet, go toilet, and sometimes social interaction. Yep, not good. But maybe you're wondering; why haven't I just done something about it if I'm aware of it? IT'S NOT THAT SIMPLE, OKAY?! I've tried.

Addictions aren't that easy to get over. It takes lots of time, effort, and self-control. Which, usually, I don't have. Although it is not yet considered as an actual disorder, over the years, IAD (Internet Addiction Disorder) has gained more and more accepted as an actual clinical disorder because it's often required treatment. So, if you know or suspect that one of your friends, family or someone you know is going through this, don't just pass it off, try to actually help them.
