La Plata County deserves a sheriff prepared for the challenges of today and focused on a vision for the future.  I will bring a new level of leadership and professionalism  that will reflect the values of our unique community and a fresh perspective to solving the complex issues we will face.  

I have over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, human services and corrections at the local, state and federal levels.  This diverse background has taught me to be resourceful and has given me the ability to respect many different points of view. 

I look forward to using my leadership, education and experience while serving as your next La Plata County Sheriff.
