Ilyse Schapiro, MS, RD, CDN is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist who holds a Master's of Science in clinical nutrition and dietetics from New York University. Her professional experience includes clinical and private settings, counseling clients for a host of nutrition-related issues. Before launching her own practice, she was a dietitian at Joy Bauer Nutrition and served as a clinical dietitian at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
Firmly believing that simple lifestyle changes can lead to a healthier, happier self, Ilyse's nutrition philosophy is steeped in balance and moderation. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, the Greater New York Dietetic Association, Westchester/Rockland Dietetic Association, the Weight Management Group, the Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists Dietetic Practice Group, Pediatric Nutrition Group, and the Women's Health and Reproductive Nutrition Group.
Prior to pursuing her graduate degree in nutrition, Ilyse worked for several years at Mens Health magazine. Working at the award-winning publication inspired her to pursue her life-long goal of working in health and wellness.
Ilyse holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and currently resides in Westchester with her husband and two daughters.
