Where was Robin?

Nottingham or Nottinghamshire is known best as the

location of Robin Hood and his Merry Men, situated in the

centre of Britain, Nottingham is the home of Robin Hood and

Sherwood Forest, although a little more modern now,

Nottingham stays true to its folklore roots, a statue is

resurrected in town of Robin shooting his bow and on their

flag is the silhouette of Robin Hood himself.

Every year the Robin Hood festival is held in Sherwood Forest in which people erect tents, wear olden day clothing, have battles, eat drink and be merry, all to the tune of the Robin Hood legend.

The major Oak tree in Sherwood Forest is said to be the major hideout of the legend, kept up with logs to keep the tree straight and surrounded by protected forest, it is known as Robin Hood Tree.
