Link Deas owns cotton fields in Maycomb. Mr. Deas employed Tom Robinson and later Helen Robinson “because she does not get accepted by any other employers in the county due to Tom Robinson's legal troubles.” During the trial, he announced that he never, “had a speck o’trouble outa him,” in defense of Tom. When Bob Ewell started threatening Helen after the trial, Mr. Deas defends her and threatens to have him arrested.

Dr. Reynolds is the Maycomb doctor.
